Anthony Schulz - Bass Guitar, Vox
Hailing from small town Wisconsin, "Tony" Schulz helps to supply the roots that anchor Soul Tree. His performing career started at the age of 14 and has included such bands as Scourage, Betrayal in Barstow, A Damno Divine, and the Wisconsin regionally recognized band, Rock Pilots. He spent a year attending the University of Wisconsin, Madison, but is currently pursuing a bachelor¡¦s degree in music performance on the bass guitar at McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul, MN. Tony's influences on the bass include John Paul Jones, Jack Bruce, the left hand of Ray Manzarek, Noel Redding, and his mentors and professors at McNally Smith: Terry Burns, Charles Fletcher, Jeff Bailey, Jay Young, and Gary Raynor. Tony owns the low end of Soul Tree and supplies tight rhythm, beautiful harmony, melody, and backing vocals.
Brady Lillie - Vocals, Guitar
Born near the river banks of the great Mississippi, Brady Lillie's stage presence is as strong as the mighty river of his youth. Harnessing his skills started at age 14 where he played his first shows under the lights of the legendary club, First Avenue, in Minneapolis. Playing in groups such as Rockford, The Vintage Mink and the Scott Morrisson Band, Lillie had played most of the Minneapolis club circuit, wrote, recorded and released a full length album, and toured the age of 18. With Soul Tree, Lillie is front man, lead singer, and guitar player all in one. With a vocal range that hits the haunting lows of Johnny Cash's Dahlia, to the screeching highs of Robert Plant's Immigrant Song. With guitar playing that blends roots country with Hendrix's psychedelic playing, Lillie creates a sound of his own.
Joshua "Von Mink" James - Vocals, Guitar
Josh Von Mink (a.k.a. Joshua James) grew up on Highway 61 in the Boreal Forest on the North Shore of Minnesota. He currently resides in the Twin Cities. Through traveling the world, Josh has harnessed an intimate and accessible songwriting style, exploring the fringes of life topics. Josh Von Mink has established himself with hard work and sheer talent in many different styles. Whatever the musical arrangement may be, his delivery transcends classic Folk Rock, releasing it into boundaries yet unexplored by typical singer/songwriters. Depending on what the room calls for, Josh can be found crooning original acoustic love songs or wailing electric riffs.
